Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Form Filler – Smart Autofill ("Form Filler", "we", "our", or "the app") handles your information when you use our Android application.
The short version: we do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers. Everything you enter into the app remains on your device, encrypted, under your control.
Form Filler operates entirely offline. No personal data is ever sent to the internet — not when you create a profile, not when a form is filled, and not when you use the document scanner.

Data we collect
We collect no personal data whatsoever. The table below documents every data category and our position on each.

Data you store in the app
When you create a profile, you voluntarily enter personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, home address, date of birth, national ID number, passport number, or professional details. This information is:
- Stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted database
- Encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption backed by Android's hardware Keystore
- Never transmitted to Form Filler's servers or any third party
- Never backed up to any cloud service by Form Filler (device-level backup settings are controlled by you)
- Permanently deleted from your device when you delete a profile or uninstall the app
You are in complete control of this data. You can view, edit, or delete it at any time from within the app.

Accessibility service
Form Filler uses Android's Accessibility Service as a fallback fill mode for apps and browsers that do not implement Android's standard Autofill Framework. This is disclosed prominently during onboarding before you enable the service.
What the Accessibility Service does:
- Detects when a form field is focused or visible on screen
- Identifies the field type (name, email, phone, etc.) using structural analysis
- Writes your saved profile data into that field when you accept a fill suggestion
What the Accessibility Service never does:
- Read, record, or log what you type in any app
- Monitor your screen content outside of form field detection
- Transmit any information about the apps you use or the fields you fill
- Store any data captured through the accessibility API
The Accessibility Service is used solely to deliver form-filling functionality. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or any data collection purpose.

Camera & document scanning
Form Filler can optionally use your device camera to scan identity documents — such as national ID cards, passports, or driving licences — and extract text fields using on-device OCR (optical character recognition).
- All OCR processing happens entirely on your device using on-device ML Kit
- No camera image or photograph is stored by the app
- No image or scan result is transmitted to any server
- Camera access is only active while the scan screen is open
- Extracted text is shown to you for review before being saved to a profile
Camera permission is optional. If you decline camera access, all other app features continue to work normally.

Third-party services
Form Filler does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing SDK. We do not use:
- Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any usage tracking
- Advertising networks or ad mediation platforms
- Crash reporting services that transmit device data
- Social login or account linking services
The only third-party component used is Google's ML Kit for on-device OCR text recognition. ML Kit runs entirely on your device and does not send document images or extracted text to Google's servers in the configuration used by this app.

Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously. Form Filler implements the following protections:

While we implement strong on-device protections, no security measure is perfect. We recommend enabling biometric lock and keeping your device OS up to date.

Children's privacy
Form Filler is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, this policy applies equally to all age groups.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can assist with deletion of that data from their device.

Your rights & data control
Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, you have complete, immediate control over it at all times.
- Access: View all saved data at any time in the app's profile screens
- Edit: Modify any field in any profile directly in the app
- Delete: Delete individual profiles or all data via the app's settings
- Portability: Your data lives on your device — it moves with your device backup
- Erasure: Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data
Because we hold no copy of your data on our servers, we cannot retrieve, restore, or provide a copy of data that you have deleted.

Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through an in-app notice or Play Store update notes.
Your continued use of Form Filler after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
